Are we seeing the beginnings of a “Santa Claus” Rally?

US shares rallied on Tuesday after the Christmas weekend, with the S&P (US) 500 nearing an all-time high.
Intel led the index’s rally, climbing over 5%, while Caterpillar rose 1.8%.
There is a phenomenon in the stock market where stock prices often increase in the final week of December, known as the Santa Claus Rally.
Is this the beginning of a Santa Claus rally?
